Preschool

St. Gerard Preschool is licensed by the State of Michigan and proudly shares the School of Distinction Award along with St. Gerard School.
 

Philosophy

We believe every child is a gift from God and every child is given unique abilities.  At St. Gerard, we nurture each child's natural curiosity for learning and encourage exploration, creativity, self-motivation, independence, and discovery, with our Catholic faith as a central theme in all we do.

The Child

Provide experiences for learning about God.  Provide for a well-rounded education in the areas of social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual development, while developing self-confidence and building self-esteem.

The School

Experience the joy of preschool in a Catholic environment.  Provide a safe, organized, happy atmosphere where children feel comfortable and secure. 

The Curriculum

Provide a curriculum that promotes an understanding of children as individuals as well as a relaxed, interactive atmosphere with opportunities for play.

Help parents guide their children in the development of their faith. Provide parents with resources to help them navigate the exciting opportunities that lie ahead in preschool and beyond. Foster open communication with parents.
